Quiet here, innit?

Posted: March 29th, 2007, by Simon Minter

So what’s everybody up to this weekend?

There are two exciting gigs in Oxford on Sunday night: one is Damo Suzuki with Youthmovies as sound carriers, with Fuck Buttons in support. The other is Cove. Which should I go to?

Simon Minter

Simon joined diskant after falling on his head from a great height. A diskant legend in his own lifetime Simon has risen up the ranks through a mixture of foolhardiness and wit. When not breaking musical barriers with top pop combo Sunnyvale Noise Sub-element or releasing records in preposterously exciting packaging he relaxes by looking like Steve Albini.

I was about to say that I am doing nothing this weekend for the first time in ages and am really looking forward to it but I’ve just been reminded Quack Quack are playing so hmm…

Quack Quack are great though. It’s more fun seeing them than doing nothing!

I had my first weekend of doing nothing this year, last weekend. It was bliss!!!!!

Life is far too hectic in general these days

I am playing at Ladyfest Cambridge and possibly making invites for mine and Jane’s wedding, DIY!

I agree with Jason – doing nothing is way underrated.

Ian – I can’t BELIEVE you didn’t tell us your news. I only figured it out from Jane’s Flickr. But CONGRATS!

I thought telling summerlin would be enough to ensure the news spread, but I guess he prefers the salacious stuff.

    Congratulations Ian!

    Will there be wedding PIE?

  9. Ollie Simpson

I am going to see Ian play at Ladyfest (spot what is wrong with this sentence) then going out on the razz. I will also be playing a great deal of Zelda, quite possibly while listening to the Boredoms.

    Alright Simon,

Come to Cove! I’ll be there along with the Poor Girl Noise crewage. Would be good to know what you think of those cds I sent you.

Hopefully see you later – 07969996183 it is.
