The Yummy Fur - Policeman        Guided Missile - Guide 13 

       So, this is what happens when TYF are allowed into a proper studio. The production is definitely superior, and much less tinny - which is probably a good thing. The songs themselves are all exceptional as well- the production values mean that they sound much less similar to one-another.
       The lead track is 'Policeman'. Don't expect an analysis of what it is all about - I really have not got a clue. It is about something nevertheless - "Oh policeman / I'd like to spend the evening / Snorting Cocaine / Off the stomach of your girlfriend." and, interestingly, "You indie kids are cheeky monkeys" (this is put in much plainer terms on the sleeve).
       The b-side is "70's / Car Crash," the first half of which ('70's' obviously) is less of a move from their 'Nightclub' stuff - The same sick humour and obscure references - "Those homosexuals look like navvies in drag / They need to lose some weight / Try skag!". When it fades out, though, an uneasy organ sound continues into the shockingly brutal "Car Crash" epic. It's completely different, and well worth a listen.
