I've been following Mogwai for a while now, and this has to be their best release so far. In many ways I do not know how to review it - It's exploring a whole new sphere of music - It's on a whole unquestionably higher level. It goes beyond rock, pop etc. This is uncharted territory. Whilst being very intelligent and adventurous, it does not for one second become at all pretentious. How they got such an incredible, beautiful peice out of the same instruments as, say, Oasis use I'll never know. 

But I still can't review it. It's beyond words. it's the soundtrack to a film which could never be enough for it. Once you've heard it, everything else is suddenly pathetic, simplistic, trivial.
